Manchester City have jumped ahead of Liverpool in the race for Croatian whizkid Ante Coric.

The Daily Express says the midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in European football and impressed for Dinamo Zagreb last season.

The 19-year-old scored four goals and created five more to help the club to the Croatian title.

The Daily Mail claim Man City are leading the race for the teenager.

The report adds City are looking to offer around £6million for Coric.

However Zagreb want £10m for the 19-year-old plus add-ons and the Croatian club believe Liverpool will be willing to meet their valuation.
