Journalist Marti Perarnau has gone on to claim that Manchester City is the biggest challenge yet in the managerial career of Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola arrived at City during the summer and although he has been at the club for only a couple of months, it is clear to see that the Spaniard has made a number of positive changes at the Etihad Stadium already.
Perarnau has been closely following Guardiola's career since his transition into a manager and he has stated that the task at City will be the toughest yet for the former Barcelona boss, especially seeing as he has reunited with Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano.
"I thought it was City from the first day. Because Txiki and Ferran are here. They are close friends," Perarnau whose latest book 'Pep Guardiola: La Metamorfosis' is published in English next month.
"After a club with a strong identity of play like Barcelona and after a club with a strong identity as a club with history like Bayern - he likes to coach a club without a strong identity of play and without a big story in Europe.
"I think Manchester City is the most important challenge for Pep."
