Manchester City are in talks with Palmeiras about several of their young players.
They've been attempting to secure a first refusal agreement.
But City, according to sources in South America, have been rebuffed after trying to negotiate a deal with the Sao Paulo-based club, from where they signed Gabriel Jesus, says the Manchester Evening News.
The reports suggest that City's South American scout Cadu has identified the three – striker Fernando, left back Luan Candido and defender Henri – as big prospects.
But City cannot sign them until they turn 18, and are said to have sought a way of jumping the queue by asking for priority in any transfer of the teenagers, until 2022.
