Man City in advanced talks with BVB striker Aubameyang

Manchester City are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to Sky Sports, City are moving along nicely with talks for the Gabonese striker who dominated for the Bundesliga club last season.

Aubameyang, who netted 39 goals in all competitions for BVB, has been heavily linked with Real Madrid but it appears as though City have stolen a march on the Spanish giants.

City have already raided Dortmund for German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and now it looks as though incoming boss Pep Guardiola is eager to lure a top quality striker to the Etihad Stadium from the Westfalenstadion.

Aubameyang, 26, is expected to cost City £58million - according to the Daily Mail - which would surpass the club-record £54m they paid for Kevin De Bruyne last summer.

It is understood that City have been boosted by Aubameyang's desire to play in the Premier League and are confident a deal can be agreed with Dortmund.
