Man City hungry for improvement says skipper Kompany

Vincent Kompany has made it clear that Manchester City want to experience Premier League glory again.

The Eastlands club were unable to defend their 2011/12 title last season, with neighbours Manchester United notching up their 20th league championship, but Kompany wants that to change quickly.

The Belgian centre-half said the team is determined to achieve success again and have begun their preparations for the new campaign with plenty of hard work.

"We've worked very hard so far in pre-season and you can sense that this team is hungry," Kompany he told the club's official website.

"There's been a great group atmosphere, but at the same time we have worked very hard.

"Everybody in the team is keen to learn; we need to learn how we can improve."
