Man City hit with £35k fine for anti-doping breach

Manchester City have been hit with a £35,000 fine by the FA for a breach of their anti-doping rules.

The Manchester club admitted to the breach of rules after they failed to update the FA of the whereabouts of their players on three different occasions.

Back in January, the FA had released a statement: "Manchester City have been charged in relation to rules on anti-doping.

"It is alleged the club failed to ensure that their 'Club Whereabouts' information was accurate, contrary to Regulation 14 (d)."

There is no indication that any City players have missed drugs testing but the fact the club failed to inform the FA of changes has led to the sanction.
