Former Manchester City star Gary Owen has warned Yaya Toure against leaving the Etihad.
Toure's agent, Dimitry Seluk, stoked up the stories by declaring Toure had been treated with a lack of respect by the Premier League Champions on his 31st birthday.
But Owen hit out and told the Daily Star Sunday "If any player wants to leave Man City that is a step down."
