Man City has the experience to bounce back at Borussia Monchengladbach – Toure

Manchester City star Yaya Toure is backing his side to deliver a response against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League.

Despite a blistering start in the Premier League, City opened their European campaign with a disappointing 2-1 home loss at the hands of Italian champions Juventus last week.

Although it is still early days, the defeat is certainly a blow for City and it will not get any easier as they now prepare to face German side Monchengladbach away from home in their next Champions League fixture.

Nonetheless, midfielder Toure is confident ahead of the clash and feels that his side are experienced enough to bounce back with a victory.

Toure told the Manchester Evening News: "It is very important, the next game at Borussia. We don't feel pressure, we just want to do our best and this season go further and further.

"We need to get some momentum in Europe like we did at Sunderland. That win brought an end to a mini-slump of two successive defeats, which these days gets treated as a crisis.

"It looks like a big drama. With the money the club and the chairman has spent on big players coming it is a bit difficult for them.

"But we have experience in the squad, like Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and me and we try to give the guys confidence in these situations. We are happy now. What is really important is when our top guys are scoring goals.

"It is part of the game. City or even Chelsea, Arsenal, when they start losing or have a bad spell you get a lot of criticism. We have big experienced players who hate losing because we have experience at the high level, and we just try to stay calm and restore confidence for the next game."
