Man City happy to deal in Lescott

Manchester City's pursuit of Real Madrid defender Pepe isn't expected to affect Joleon Lescott's contract talks.

The Daily Star Sunday says if Pepe arrives City could still offer Lescott a one-year contract extension.

Lescott, 30, has only a year left on his current deal but manager Manuel Pellegrini wants a strong squad for a double assault on the Premier League and the Champions League.
