Manchester City are ready to take Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips back to Eastlands this summer.

The News of the World says City boss Sven Goran Eriksson inquired about the Chelsea winger during the January transfer window and was told the former City player could be available at the end of the season. His wages of around £60,000 a week now fall within the club's pay structure which was not the case when former boss Stuart Pearce tried to re-sign him.

City hope to do business for around £10 million.
