Manchester City are believed to be the frontrunners to sign Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund.
According to the Daily Mail, City are now the favourites for the 25-year-old midfielder who has so far rejected Dortmund's offer of a contract extension.
Gundogan is contracted at the Westfalenstadion until the summer of 2017 but is open to leaving at the end of the current campaign and could be lured to the Etihad Stadium to play under incoming boss Pep Guardiola.
Dortmund are prepared to offload Gundogan this summer rather than lose him for a free next yearand City are ready to pounce.
Arsenal, Barcelona and Juventus are also rumoured to be showing significant interest in the 16-time Germany international.
