Man City goalkeeper Ederson not bothered by price-tag

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson insists he's not bothered by his price-tag.

The fee paid by City this summer for Ederson raised plenty of eyebrows, with the £34.9m making him the most expensive keeper in Premier League history.

Only Gianluigi Buffon of Juventus has cost more in world football — £32.6m was worth more in euros back in 2001 — but Ederson will take it in his stride.

Given the price tag and the problems encountered by Bravo, the new boy is certain to be under scrutiny.

But he told The Sun: “The price of my transfer doesn't matter much to me.

“If it was £10m, £20m or £30m. For me it doesn't matter.

“Friends have said to me: 'How does it feel to be the second-most expensive keeper in history?' I'm ready for that. It's not going to affect my concentration.

“I'm calm and ready to do a great job here at Manchester City.
