Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is ready to offer £10 million for Arsenal defender Kolo Toure.
The Sun says Hughes has made the Arsenal defender his top priority in January's transfer window.
A City source said: "Kolo has been completely marginalised by Arsene Wenger this season.
"Mark has made no secret he rates Kolo very highly and strengthening his defence is his main priority.
"City have been linked with a number of players but Kolo is Mark's prime target and he hopes a deal can be done quickly if the clubs agree a fee."
Ivory Coast international Toure, 27, has fallen out of favour at the Emirates and Sparky plans to test the Gunners' resolve with a bid next month.
