Manchester City have been beaten 2-0 by Supersport United in their opening tour match in South Africa.
Manuel Pellegrini's side, which was completely changed at half-time, dropped the first of their two-fixture series by conceding second-half goals to Mame Niang and Kermit Erasmus in Pretoria.
The new City boss played a more inexperienced XI in the second half which contributed to the loss and the injury to star midfielder Yaya Toure, who limped off the pitch at the end, will certainly not soften the blow.
