Manchester City fullback Kieran Trippier is happy with his progress on-loan at Barnsley.

The 19-year-old full-back played three times for the Tykes during his stay, earning praise from manager Mark Robins in the process.

"It's been an enjoyable month," Trippier told City's website. "It's been good to see things from a different perspective and the lads at Barnsley have been really good to me.

"I haven't played as many games as I could have because I picked up an injury at Scunthorpe that kept me out for about 10 days."
