Manchester City fullback Kieran Trippier is delighted with his progress on-loan at Barnsley.
Trippier's form won him a maiden call-up to the England U21 squad last week.
He told City's website: "Yeah things are going really well," said the 20-year-old. "I'm playing first-team football and enjoying my time at Barnsley.
"The manager, Mark Robins, has shown a lot of faith in me and we've made a reasonable start to the season, too, so things couldn't be going better."
Trippier admits he's keeping his options open for the remainder of the season and will be happiest if he can continue playing senior football.
"I'm with Barnsley until January and then it's up to City," said the former FA Youth Cup winner. "I know the club are keeping tabs on me so I'll just wait and see what happens, but I'm enjoying myself here and feel like I've made real progress this season."
