Manchester City fullback Pablo Zabaleta was pleased with their win over West Brom.
The Argentinian admitted City weren't on top form against the stubborn Baggies but maintained the ultimate objective was achieved.
Zabaleta said: "It was tough at the end. Tony Pulis' sides always try hard until the end. They are a good team defensively and also they have a lot of pace upfront with Sessegnon and McClean and they are also really strong at set pieces.
“It was probably not our best performance but it was job done, three points and now we can think about the huge game next Tuesday."
Stephane Sessegnon put West Brom ahead before Sergio Aguero (penalty) and Samir Nasri hit back for City.
