Manchester City fullback Douglas Maicon has no regrets leaving Inter Milan.

Maicon is critical of the lack of investment in the Inter squad in recent seasons.

"Football is in need of investment and long-term planning. And Inter, for years did this. But when you stop doing certain investments, everything becomes more complicated," said Maicon.

"The financial crisis in the country has contributed to the weakening of the teams, Italian football is going through difficulties."
