Manchester City fullback Wayne Bridge will not consider ending his England exile. The Sunday Mirror says boss Fabio Capello ­revealed last week that he still hopes to persuade Bridge to return to the fold in time for this summer's World Cup finals.

But a close friend of the player said last night: "Nothing has changed or will change as far as Wayne is concerned.

"He thought long and hard about it and feels he was making the right decision for him and England.

"He cannot and will not play in the same side as John Terry, so unless that changes, England have to respect his decision and move on."
