Manchester City ace Samir Nasri taunted the England bench after scoring for France in their 1-1 draw yesterday. The Sun says he yelled a French phrase meaning 'Shut your trap' in the direction of Roy Hodgson and sidekick Gary Neville. He then put his finger to his lips.
Manager Laurent Blanc refused to condemn Nasri - who had been barracked by England fans.
He said: "That's between him and his detractors. That's something personal.
"There are individual and personal reactions.
"These are things we don't always expect.
"I think Samir was happy to score a goal and play a good game."
Hodgson was unaware of the incident. He said: "Did he say that ? Not to me, he didn't.
"You take me by surprise. I would say the opposite - the attitude of the two teams was very good throughout. There wasn't aggravation on or off the field.
"Had he said a few words to me in French, I could have replied."
