Manchester City are expected to pass on Hajduk Split youngster Mario Jelavic.

Jelavic trialled with City last month, but concerns over a work permit appear to have scuppered any prospect of his signing.

City actually convinced Jelavic to cut short tests with Anderlecht to try his luck with them.

Jutarnji List says he is now expected to sign fresh terms with Hajduk Split.
