Manchester City see Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola as Manuel Pellegrini's successor. The Mirror says City's deal makers Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano know the Bayern Munich boss well from their time together at Barcelona.
And they believe Guardiola could be the man to deliver the Champions League glory owner Sheikh Mansour wants.
Guardiola has won the Champions League in 2009 and 2011 with Barca as well as domestic titles in Spain and Germany.
A City insider said: "Txiki and Ferran have a real relationship with Pep.
"There is a belief one day Pep will arrive at City.
"Given he's under contract at Bayern people wonder if he is attainable. But let's see what might happen next summer."
