Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to sign Alvaro Negredo if their pursuit for Saido Berahino does not come into fruition, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.
Tottenham are widely expected to make a move for Berahino during the January transfer window but given the fact that West Bromwich Albion are not keen on doing business with Spurs for the aggressive manner of their pursuit of the youngster over the summer, the North London side may have to look at transfer targets elsewhere.
It is believed that if Spurs fail in their bid to sign Berahino, they have an alternative target lined up in the form of former Manchester City striker Negredo, who could be made available by Valencia.
The 30-year-old joined Los Che permanently in the summer after a season-long loan at the Mestalla but has netted just one in seven La Liga appearances this campaign.
