Manchester City fear losing skipper Richard Dunne at the end of the season.

The Independent says sources suggest that there has not yet been an approach from Newcastle for the player, contrary to some reports, but some at City fear "other clubs may try to capitalise" in his case.

Dunne is very close to manager Sven Goran Eriksson and furious over the way the Swede has been treated in recent weeks.
