Manchester City fans are set to be handed a place on the board.
The News of the World says owner Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan wants to extend the current six-strong board to include a voice of the fans.
They are currently exploring a number of options to ensure punters will be heard over the coming seasons as their billions shape the future of the club.
One of the many ideas being touted is suitable candidates being put forward for regular fan elections.
The new proposals would see the elected board member being used to act as a link with the fans on such issues as ticket prices and stadium redevelopment.
