Manchester City celebrity fan Noel Gallagher hit out at Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson over criticism of the pursuit of AC Milan star Kaka. Before yesterday's announcement from City that the deal was off, Gallagher rapped Arsenal boss Wenger and Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson over their complaints regarding the world record bid.
In his blog for oasisinet.com, Noel wrote: "**** morals. **** Arsene Wenger and his socialist football nonsense. **** all that b******s about the club losing its identity. What identity? The fact that we've been skint for 30 years?
"Looks like the Sheiks (club owners Abu Dhabi United Group) are starting to put their money where their mouths are.
"So it looks like Robinho really was just the start! Colossal amounts of money are being talked about. Obscene, some have said.
"Sir Alex Ferguson's face was a picture in his press conference yesterday though. That in itself was worth £100m. He looked shell-shocked."
