Man City facing 'homegrown' exodus this summer

Manchester City are facing a mass exodus of their England players this summer. The Sunday Mirror says City WILL be faced with defusing a ticking timebomb that could see up to six of the club's homegrown players leave the Etihad in the summer.

Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards, Richard Wright, James Milner and Jack Rodwell could all be on their way in the summer.

Belgian Dedryck Boyata is also expected to move on.

If all six depart, that will leave Joe Hart and Gael Clichy - who was nurtured by Arsenal - as the only players in City's current 25-man squad who are eligible to be classed as "home-grown" according to Premier League regulations.

Top-flight clubs can register no more than 17 foreign players over the age of 21. City currently have 15 in their squad.
