Manchester City will face stiff competition should Everton indicate a willingness to sell Jack Rodwell.

The Sunday Mirror says the Toffees value their young England midfielder at £20million, despite his recent injury problems.

City are looking to recruit young domestic players in a bid to comply with Premier League regulations, and want Rodwell and Swansea winger Scott Sinclair to bolster their squad.

City could face competition from Chelsea and Manchester United, though.
