Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen on Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo.
Pellegrini has Cardozo as a fall-back option should a deal for Sevilla centre-forward Alvaro Negredo fall through.
Cardozo wants out of Benfica this summer and has also been linked with Cardiff City.
