Manchester City expect AC Milan to soon lodge a bid for striker Alvaro Negredo.
The Daily Star Sunday says the "Beast" is a crowd favourite but incoming Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi will offer around £20m for Negredo, 28, to replace ex-City bad boy Mario Balotelli, 23.
Balotelli is being linked with Arsenal and Liverpool and is the subject of a Monaco bid.
