Manchester City executive Patrick Vieira is happy to work closely with Mario Balotelli.
Vieira will mentor City's players and he already plays an important paternal role for Balotelli, having known him since his time at Inter.
"Yes, I give him advice," Vieira told the Telegraph. "I'm very close to him and I know him better than anyone else at this football club. I'm a little bit disappointed because we have not seen the best of Mario, what he is capable of doing.
"I think what he is doing outside the pitch has been highlighted more than what he is doing on it. I feel sorry for that because he's a nice guy, a nice person but also because he's a fantastic football player. Hopefully this year we show everyone just how good he is."
