Manchester City are convinced of a deal for young prospect Alex Robertson.

The Sun says City think they have pulled off a coup by signing top teen Robertson, who had been on trial with neighbours Manchester United.

City are banned from signing other clubs' youngsters but the Aussie midfielder, 15, had not signed a scholarship deal offered at Old Trafford and opted for the Etihad instead.

Robertson hit four goals for his new bosses in a youth game last week.
