Man City, Everton eyeing Ipswich rebel Garvan

Premiership clubs are on red alert after youngster Owen Garvan walked out of Ipswich Town last week.

The People says Garvan, 19, quit preseason training 10 days ago. The club tried to play down the crisis when they said he had gone home to Dublin to address "personal problems".

But the £2million-rated midfielder, under contract until 2009, wants to leave the Tractor Boys and will not be returning.

Garvan, the nephew of former Manchester United star Mick Martin, has attracted plenty of interest from Premier League clubs.

Manchester City, Fulham and Everton were all keeping tabs on him earlier this year.
