Manchester City will be relieved with the news that a transfer ban will not be falling on their feet in the case of Benjamin Garre.

City were reported to FIFA by Argentine club Velez Sarsfield after their signing of the youngster Garre in 2016. They reported City to FIFA as they supposedly tapped up the player when he was only 15.

While City may have committed those actions, FIFA took the view that because Garre has an Italian passport, he was allowed to leave Argentina as soon as he turned 16.

CAS has not released its formal decision, but is expected to find the case in City's favour.
