Pep Guardiola is reportedly encouraging Manchester City to make an offer for Chelsea target Riechedly Bazoer.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Guardiola, who will take over at the Etihad Stadium this summer, is eager to make the Ajax star one of his first signings with City.

It is understood Chelsea are on the verge of tabling a £24million bid for the 19-year-old midfielder, whose agent and brother Irchandley visited London last week for talks with the Blues.

However Guardiola is also believed to be a fan of Bazoer's and is hoping to hijack Chelsea's bid for the youngster.
