Manchester City are eager to sell Edin Dzeko to Bayern Munich.

The Daily Star says Dzeko, 26, has told Roberto Mancini he wants out after falling down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.

Bayern bosses are now expected to test the water with a £20m bid for Dzeko and a source said: "City will not stand in Dzeko's way if he wants to leave.

"Bayern have been showing strong interest in him and the move appeals.

"If a reasonable offer comes in then it will be taken on its merits."
