Manchester City could land £720,000 if Denis Suarez plays for Barcelona on Wednesday night.
Reports suggest that City will be due the windfall if Luis Enrique gives the talented playmaker some game time in the Champions League at the Nou Camp.
Suarez, 22, developed in City's academy before joining Barcelona in 2013, and then spent time on loan with Sevilla before moving to Villarreal, and back to Barca this summer.
Mundo Derportivo indicates that City will be paid the aforementioned fee if Suarez featured at all tomorrow as his contract includes an additional payment every time he plays 10 official matches up until he reaches 100 games for Barca.
Suarez has already played nine times for Enrique this term but has not yet played a minute in Europe's top flight.
