Man City drop Aguero price to smooth Real Madrid negotiations

Manchester City are ready to listen to offers for Sergio Aguero this summer.

City boss Pep Guardiola, despite his effusive praise for the Argentine, views Aguero as strictly backup to Gabriel Jesus, who could be fit for next month's FA Cup semifinal against Arsenal.

City are now making it known across Europe that Aguero can leave for a fee of €57 million.

The Sky Blues would prefer to sell abroad, with Real Madrid emerging as an early favourite.

Adding fuel to the speculation was last week's dinner meeting in Monaco between Real president Florentino Perez and City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak.

It's suggested Aguero was high on the agenda.
