Manchester City have agreed terms with Hamburg for Nigel de Jong and are now to discuss personal terms with the 24 year old says City chief executive Garry Cook. "We have made an offer (thought to around £14m) to Hamburg and, respectfully, they have said the player is for sale," Cook told Sky Sports News.

"We have agreed a price and now it is down to discussing the deal with the player and his agent."
