Manchester City's established directors are unimpressed by the actions of Thaksin Shinawatra's representatives on the board.

The Guardian says after his £80m takeover last summer Thaksin appointed as directors his son Panthongtae, his daughter Pintongta and Sasin Monvoisin, the wife of the former Thai ambassador, Vikrom Koompirochana. He also brought in an old associate, Taweesuk Jack Srisumrid, to monitor the working performances of the club's employees and Taweesuk, in particular, has struggled to make a favourable impression.

Established figures at the club were embarrassed, moreover, to see Monvoisin collecting autographs outside the away dressing room after Chelsea's recent game at the City of Manchester stadium.
