Yaya Toure believes Manchester City's 3-2 win over Swansea City on New Year's Day has highlighted their intent in winning the Premier League title.
City remained second behind Arsenal thanks to goals from Fernandinho, Toure and Aleksandar Kolarov and the manner of the triumph has the Ivory Coast midfielder feeling good about their title pursuit.
"It's very important because we continued to fight until the end," he told Sky Sports.
"For the team and the club, we want to win this trophy. I think if we continue like that, at the end of the season we will be happy.
"In the first half today, the team worked very well. We had to manage playing against a good side and Swansea created a lot of problems.
"I think we did a fantastic job against a good team. I think we deserved the win today."
