Manchester City defender Reece Wabara is keen to extend his loan at Ipswich Town.

Wabara joined the Tractor Boys last month.

The 19-year-old is keen to maximise the first-team experience on offer at Portman Road, telling Town's official website: "I really think the team is destined to do good things this season and I want to be a part of that.

"If I'm playing games and the team is playing well then there is no reason why I wouldn't stay here beyond my initial loan."

Wabara added: "I actually first heard about the interest here when I was away with England (at the Under-20 World Cup in Colombia over the summer), but my agent also told me that Ipswich had been watching me last season as well."
