Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has paid tribute to brother Yaya for his support during his drugs ban ordeal.
Yaya scored the winner in the FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester United in April and then returned to Wembley a month later to hit the goal that overcame Stoke in the final.
Kolo told the Sunday Mirror: "The first one I spoke to was Yaya.
"I explained to him what had happened. He has been really amazing for me. I remembered that at the end of the season when he received an award and he just gave it to me in front of the team, the chairman... everybody.
"I will never forget that time. It showed that a brother is a brother.
"I have to say as well that all the guys at the club have been great to me. The staff and the players supported me very, very much. It's been really great.
"When I knew I had got a six-month ban and that I had served three months of it already, it was difficult to miss the end of the season."
He added: "Missing the final was difficult because I like to win trophies, but to see my team win was fantastic. Even if I wasn't on the pitch, my heart was.
"Especially to see Yaya score twice against United and Stoke. It was fantastic.
"He scored two goals at Wembley and one of them was for me. Mine was the goal in the final because he knows how much I love trophies.
"He said so after the game - for me that was fantastic.
"He gave me a piece of it and my heart started feeling better. We were really close anyway, but that showed me how much love and trust he has for me."
