Manchester City defender John Stones felt they deserved more from Saturday's defeat to Chelsea.
Sergio Aguero's late tackle on David Luiz sent the game into a frenzy resulting in a mass brawl between the two sides.
Aguero was given his marching orders by referee Anthony Taylor for the challenge and Fernandinho was also shown a red card for grabbing Cesc Fabregas around the throat.
But after the 3-1 defeat, Stones thought Manchester City were a little hard done by and claimed the referee's decision were unbalanced.
"In those situations you go in there and back your team-mates up, both teams do that," Stones told BBC Sport.
"I don't want to say too much and get in trouble for saying things but I think we have ended up on the bad side of what happened.
"I know Sergio's tackle was in no way good, but what happened after that when a few of their boys came in, I didn't think it was fairly balanced."
