Manchester City defender Micah Richards hasn't heard from Fabio Capello about what he needs to do to return to the England squad.

It is understood the Italian has made no attempt to explain his decision to Richards.

One source told the Daily Mail: "What has aggrieved him most is the lack of dialogue he's had from England staff, not just over this issue but in the past. There's been virtually no dialogue whatsoever. So how is Micah supposed to know what he needs to work on to get into the squad if no one even talks to him?

"There's a part of Micah that feels disrespected. He is convinced the decision has been made based on personal rather than footballing reasons. It's upsetting for him."
