Arsenal hero Martin Keown felt Manchester City fullback Micah Richards was again found out against Manchester United.
Even with Ryan Giggs not on the pitch, Richards struggled with his positioning during the Community Shield defeat.
Keown told the Daily Mail: "Micah Richards is an incredible athlete with a tremendous leap and it is great to see him back in the England squad.
"But he needs as much management as Mario Balotelli when it comes to his positioning. He has to be careful not to leave his centre halves too exposed with the way he bursts forward. His tracking back needs to be better."
