Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha has hit out at Chelsea star Frank Lampard over claims the Premiership's young players are pampered.

He said: "In terms of our players, a lot have a grounding.

"The majority of our team aren't at top sides in the league so you have to be at the top of your ability just to stay in the league.

"So in terms of too much too young, I don't think that's the case for everyone. It's a misconception.

"The majority of us at City used to clean the coaching staff's cars and that was only four or five years ago when some people thought that had all gone.

"They just think 'he's a young player and he's got this and that'. But it's not like that."
