Nedum Onuoha believes teenage Manchester City teammate Danny Sturridge will join him in the England squad for this summer's U21 European Championships.

"I've a feeling Danny will go to Sweden if he is fully fit," the defender told City's website.

"He brings something different - there's something about him, he brings a spark. In training he's as good as Elano, Robinho and Caicedo, who are all technically very good. Danny is up there with them but doesn't always get the credit.

"He has the ability, and he knows that this is the best place for him to be, learning his trade. He's one of the top players for his age in the country if not in Europe or the rest of the world."
