Benjamin Mendy insists he is in the dark over the extent of his knee injury ahead of tests in Barcelona, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The Manchester City defender is set for months on the sidelines amid fears he has suffered ligament damage.
But there have been claims doctors fear the 23 year old has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligaments, which would lead to a recuperation period of up to nine months.
The left back, however, responded to one journalist on Twitter, claiming there were no updates on the problem.
Following the claim from Duncan Castles, he tweeted: "Your bio says journalist so why you speak like graduated doctor? no one has test to see if ruptured ACL or not, even I dont know lol"
