Man City defender Lescott says Wolves boss Connor big influence on career

Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott admits Wolves boss Terry Connor had a big influence on his career.

City are at Molineux tomorrow.

"I was injured last season so I'm looking forward to going back to Molineux this Sunday," Lescott told City's website.

"I owe a lot to everyone connected with Wolves, none more so than Terry Connor the manager. When Terry first arrived, I was just coming out of the youth team and was just going into the reserves.

"He was the development coach at the time and I still believe he has been the single biggest influence on my career so I hope he does well and has the chance to turn the club's fortunes around.

"The Wolves fans have always been supportive of me as well, even when I was leaving to sign for Everton."
